The 15th Annual

NC Japan Summer Festival

has been CANCELLED

Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, the high risk of further spreading this virus via large crowds in enclosed spaces, and the strong recommendations of health and public safety officials, we must regrettably CANCEL this year's festival.  Our primary concern is the health and safety of our guests, volunteers and participants.  The festival will occur again in the summer of 2021 when things have improved.  Good luck and best wishes to you all in the coming months.

 Food, Culture, Fun...

The NC Japan Summer Festival organized by the Nippon Club of the Triangle will be held again at the NC State Fairgrounds in Raleigh.  A spacious, air-conditioned, indoor venue where everyone can all celebrate in comfort and enjoy delicious authentic Japanese food, unique crafts and goods, traditional cultural displays and activities, and lots of exciting music, dancing and other Japanese entertainment.

What is NEW this year?  MORE FOOD!  Professional food vendors to supplement traditional

favorites offered by the Nippon Club and to ensure there is enough for everyone.  Better line control, including an express line for cash sales.  And a larger Community Market with more vendors and exhibitors.

Food & Drink

If you have never tried Japanese festival food,

now is your chance.  We will have delicious traditional favorites like yakisoba, takoyaki, dango, kakigori and matcha.  And BEER!  Refreshingly cold Japanese beer on tap. Check our FOOD page for more details.

Culture & Tradition

The Festival will feature a variety of Japanese cultural activities, arts, crafts, goods and traditions, including Tanabata, bonsai, ikebana, tea ceremony, calligraphy, origami and a children's mikoshi parade.  Click our CULTURE page for more details.

Entertainment
