After a 2-year absence due to the Coronavirus outbreak, the annual
NC Japan Festival is finally returning to the Triangle community.


This year's Festival is being co-sponsored by the Town of Apex and will be a smaller event held outdoors during the cooler fall weather.  Tickets will be sold only in advance online and will be limited.  Order your tickets early so as not to miss out on this very popular fun and exciting event.

 Food, Culture, Fun...

The NC Japan Festival, organized by the Nippon Club of the Triangle, and co-sponsored by the Town of Apex, returns this year and will be held in Apex, NC, on Saturday, October 1, 2022.  A spacious, outdoor venue with an indoor/outdoor Community Market where everyone can all celebrate in comfort and enjoy delicious authentic Japanese food, unique crafts and goods, traditional cultural displays and activities, and lots of exciting music, dancing and other Japanese entertainment.

What is NEW this year?  MORE FOOD!  Professional food vendors to supplement traditional

favorites offered by the Nippon Club and to ensure there is enough for everyone.  Better line control, including an express line for cash sales.  A larger Community Market with more vendors and exhibitors.  And cooler outdoor weather in the fall on more spacious grounds with plenty of free parking.  Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets.  However, no outside food or drinks are permitted.

Food & Drink

If you have never tried Japanese festival food,

now is your chance.  We will have delicious traditional favorites like yakisoba, takoyaki, okonomiyaki, sushi and matcha.  And BEER!  Refreshingly cold Japanese beer on tap. Check our FOOD page for more details.

Culture & Tradition

The Festival will feature a variety of Japanese cultural activities, arts, crafts, goods and traditions, including bonsai and tea ceremony,   Click our CULTURE page for more details. 

Entertainment

There is a lot of great entertainment planned for our annual Festival, including traditional obon dancing, taiko drumming, martial arts demonstrations, and musical performances.

Ticket sales are limited to 1,500 paying adults, plus an unlimited number of children.  Children 12 and under are free.  All tickets will be sold ONLY online in advance, and no tickets will be sold at the venue on the day of the event.
